Why doesn’t my other app show this?

Amtrak’s public feed carries no track information at all. Every other tracker reads that same feed, so none of them can show you a track — not because they’re worse apps, but because the data isn’t there.

TrackWatch runs its own service that reads Amtrak’s live data directly and adds track and platform assignments collected from station departure boards. That’s the difference.

No third-party feed sits in the middle. Our backend polls Amtrak directly, cross-references the station boards that actually publish a track, and pushes the result straight to your phone — including to your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island while your phone is locked, over Apple’s own push service, not a battery-draining background refresh.
